AF CLAY presents Samhain; a Limited Edition Collection of artisan pottery paying homage to the mystical and ancient festival of Samhain. 

The Celtic festival, now widely known as Halloween, marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. It is a time when the veil between the worlds is said to be at its thinnest, allowing spirits and magic to flow freely.

Each bowl, plate and coaster is meticulously hand painted with original slip designs inspired by medieval bestiary depictions of bats, cats and spiderwebs whilst the drinking vessels take inspiration from the iconic cauldron silhouette.    

The collection uses AFs signature earthy colourways of rich Amber, Celadon, Green Honey, and Bone with the addition of a subtle shimmer of brushed bronze accents.

Crafted with the utmost reverence this collection uses a custom-mixed toasted stoneware clay body. Added grog achieves a rustic, tactile feel whislt ensuring both durability and elegance.
